Sarah Mulhaul, LCSW, MSW
Sarah is the founder and owner of The Corvus Center for Mental Health Services, PLLC. Sarah has specialized training in treating traumatic stress, severe emotional dysregulation, impulsivity, anxiety, and mood disorders. She is nationally certified in Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy and Prolonged Exposure for PTSD. Her passion is treating survivors of childhood sexual abuse, traumatic grief, and combat veterans.
Sarah is also Foundationally trained through Behavior Tech in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to treat mood disorders, self injury, suicidal ideation and maladaptive coping skills. Sarah is a current member of a DBT consult team - a group of DBT clinicians that ensure high standard of treatment.
Sarah completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Mary Washington. She graduated from University of Southern California with a Master's in Social Work. While in graduate school, Sarah worked with a wide range of individuals and families with trauma, anxiety, depression and bipolar disorders in private practice. After graduate school, Sarah began working with clients age 4 through adulthood and received training in evidence-based practices; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy.
Out of the office, Sarah enjoys time with her family in Fairfax County. She has been an active duty military spouse for over 15 years, has three children and is a Breast Cancer Survivor.
POPULATIONS SERVED: She sees adults ages 18 and over. Sarah works with children ages 4 through 17 for trauma therapy only.
Laura Disney, LCSW, MSW
Laura works with individuals ages 18+. She strives to create an empathic, non-judgmental, and safe atmosphere to support her clients in overcoming barriers and making positive changes. Laura operates from a strengths-based perspective and collaborates with each client to provide evidence-based treatment for their individual needs and goals.
Laura completed her bachelor’s degree in dairy science from Virginia Tech. After interning at a therapeutic farm and treatment center, she pursued her master’s degree in social work from The University of Maryland. She then obtained her certificate in Human-Animal Health from the University of Denver.
Laura gained clinical experience in multiple settings including an elementary-middle school, Walter Reed National Military Center, community mental health center, and private practice.
Laura is trained in Person-Centered Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy, Prolong Exposure and Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD. She has provided effective individual and group treatment for diagnoses including trauma, mood, psychotic, and personality disorders.
Out of the office, Laura enjoys spending time with her family, in nature and relaxing. She has been a military spouse for 9 years and has two children and a dog. She and her husband have been volunteer puppy raisers for Canine Companions. Their dog graduated and now works as a facility dog supporting children with Autism.
